How do I book a pitch?

Online Bookings – just simply click on the Book your stay button, follow the instructions by checking dates and availability, click, pay and your booking is done.

What is the latest check in time?

Arrivals are between 2pm and 7.30pm we ask that you advise us in advance if you’re planning to arrive after 7.30pm for us to confirm if we can accomodate. We do offer early arrivals (9am to 12pm) and late checkouts (12pm to 7pm) call in advance to check availability.

 

Do you allow group bookings?

We allow a maximum of three pitches to be booked by people who know each other, this includes booking separately under different names.

 

Can you accommodate RV’s and 5th wheelers?

We do have some large pitches which will accommodate these vehicles, please call us prior to booking if you wish to check which pitch numbers are suitable.

 

Are pets allowed?

We permit dogs at Shays Farm, with many walks close by as well as dog-friendly pubs. We do, however, require dog owners to read the below carefully and abide by our dog rules so that we can maintain a happy park:

We accept well-behaved dogs.

We do not accept any dog listed under the Dangerous Dog Act.

Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times in any area of the park.

You must clear up after your dog and use the dog bins provided. Please do not let your dog’s foul by other customer’s pitches.

Noise must be kept to a minimum at all times, so as not to disturb the peace for other customers.
Dogs are not permitted in our amenity building.

 

Are Barbeques permitted onsite?

Yes, BBQs are allowed we ask that they are raised off the ground and ash disposed of in the steel bin. BBQs are only allowed for the use of cooking food.

 

Are Firepits or Fires allowed?

We do not allow any open fires or burning of any wood.

 

Can I book a pitch next to my friends?

Yes – subject to availability, our online booking system allows you to choose you pitch number.

 

Fishing – what do I need to know?

Our small pond is only for the customers staying at Shays and is free of charge, the pond is stocked with a mixture of Carp, Tench, Roach and Perch. Please note that anyone wanting to fish must have a current valid fishing licence, which can be purchased from most Post Offices or online.

 

Do you sell Calor Gas?

Yes, we are agents for Calor Gas and can exchange bottles (subject to availability)
